Felted socks

It is almost autumn outside and it's getting cool outside and inside the house so our feet begs for more warmth.
Well when menage started to moan that their feet are getting cold so I decided to cheer them by making felted wool socks.
And these socks are not knitted but felted and made from natural merino wool.

Socks that are so soft, lightweight like second skin and above all warm!

That what I' m gonna do this night! :)

Let's autumn begin

What a beautiful day today. Today it is not only first of autumn but the first of September special holiday for students, pupils and schoolboys. So we congratulate everyone with this important event.
When I think about the autumn I could say it is absolutely beautiful time in the year but only in the beginning when colorful leafs start to fall. But then everything becomes gloomy. So in that case I decided to give more colors for that period of time and prepare for those gray days and dark evenings by creating something special and colorful.

                               When we make templates we start to cover it with wool.

As you see I use bright colors ( yellow, orange, and blue). This colors reminds me shiny and warm summer days.

                  Then we use warm water and pure olive soap and roll everything in bamboo.

After same time of rolling and forming these would be almost finished it only needs bottom leather sole that we attached later.

            Felted boots for little...done!
